Escape room(s) by Breakout Games

Falls Church, Virginia is actually where Breakout Games DC is located. Falls Church is an independent city in the commonwealth of Virginia. It is included in the Washington DC metropolitan area. Since Breakout Games already has a few Virginia locations, they decided to brand their name "Breakout Games DC" to attract more customers. There's plenty of parking right in front of the facility. The entrance to the lobby is located on the 2nd floor. Like their other locations, there's plenty of seating with complimentary water and merchandise available. From a décor aspect, we do feel Timonium, MD feels newer. There's a total of 6 escape games at this location. ESCAPETHEROOMers picked "Island Escape" as it's the only one that we were able to fit into our schedule._x000D_ _x000D_ After a quick debrief, we were sent to an island to enjoy our vacation. Little did we know, that a volcano is about the explode on this island and of course everyone else evacuated already except for us. With only one boat left available for departure, we have to find the keys to safely evacuate before the lava covers the land. This room is pretty linear and you really can't move on until you solve a puzzle which leads to the next one. The room size is also pretty good for just the two of us. I would say a max of 4 people would be comfortable for this game as anymore may feel a bit cramped. You also probably won't need that many people on one puzzle. Although the room's décor stuck to the theme of the island feel with its art and props, we still felt like we were just in a room. The puzzles did stick with the theme throughout, but it was all within the "classic" types of puzzles. There was one particular prop that gave the room a bit of a "pop", but it would've been great to see a bit more innovation on the puzzle design. We were stuck on some puzzles at the beginning as traditionally we would probably didn't think about reusing something, but this was quickly realized after our first hint. We got out with a minute to spare with just the two of us. There's definitely a good amount of puzzles in there so I wouldn't waste time. This room would be a fun family room as I could see some kids logically solving most of it._x000D_ _x000D_ We felt very "refreshed" after this room and had a sudden urge to go on vacation only to realize our next stop is yet, another escape room. No complaints here! Escapees for life! Breakout Games also has escape games that can be delivered to the comfort of your own home called "Dispatch". We recently received our package and we're eager to unbox and share our thoughts with you guys soon!

We went mid week and tried the island room. It was our first escape room and gave us a run for our money. Angel was our game master and was perfect with his clues and orientation. He spoke a bit quickly that I felt a bit pressured. Overall a great experience and looking forward to going back

If I ever were to get stuck on a volcanic island with a group of strangers it would be THIS group! Our game master was amazing as I appreciated all of the clues and good sense of humor. He didn't mislead us and provided just enough clues to enable our team to escape at 53:20. If you want to do a fun team building activity for your group at work or even a non-profit I would highly recommend going to an escape room. You will learn a lot about each other! Luckily we broke out and didn't kill each other as we worked together on a common goal!

Breakout Games in Falls Church was absolutely amazing. My date and I did the "Runaway Train" game with our game master being James. The game was so much fun, and honestly, I recommended a lot of people to go to Breakout Games to experience the same game we tried. James was an amazing game master and truly helped us when we needed it. He gave us hints that were still mysterious, so it left you confused but they were helpful nonetheless. The hints made the game more exciting and throughout the entire time, I never lost that excitement factor that the game provided. Shout out to James for being an amazing game master/host. Give James a promotion or something because he killed it. Thank You for the great experience, and to anyone who is unsure if you should go or not, DEFINITELY GO! I had such an amazing time, I cannot explain it in words. I will definitely be coming back again.

Miguel was such a gracious host. We did the runaway train with 4 people one of which was my teen daughter. We found it challenging and fun. Tip get your 3 free clues ASAP so u can move forward faster.

Ryan was our game master and he was very helpful (I was in Operation Casino with my 6 year old). We didn’t make it out but had a blast!

Our first escape room encounter and we are sold! We did the Casino Night and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lots of different solving techniques involved and engaged everyone in our group. We will be back!

Had a great time in the casino room! We had 5 kids and 4 adults and got out in the nick of time! Paco made it so much fun for the kids. Highly suggest for a fun night out with the whole family.

Fantastic experience! We did "Mystery Mansion" with four people and were about 90 seconds shy of finishing in time. Meghan was our host and she did a great job making sure we had fun. Highly recommend and we'll definitely return!
