My sister and I decided to do the detective room not knowing what to expect and it turned out to be so fun! The puzzles were very challenging but we worked as a team and solved most of the puzzles but ended up running out of time. We are now going to do the cavern next and we are determined to get it of this room. Definitely would recommend!!

We had 50 minutes to follow the clues and escape, we did it in 46 minutes. The clues were challenging but logical and it was really fun to work with good friends and people I didn't know well to solve them.

This experience was quite fun, at first I was a bit hesitant to try this because the thought of being locked in a room with strangers just didn't appeal to me. After my first escape room, I couldn't wait to try all of others. I've seen 3 of the escape rooms from Escape Room LA and their all very well produced and designed, compared to a few others I've seen that aren't nearly as well produced. Once you step into a room, you feel like you're in the environment of the game. Even though you may be a room with strangers, it's fun to be able to talk and meet with new people even if it is for an hour. It's definitely a good way to spend an hour to an hour and a half in LA if you're visiting LA with some free time.

Atlantis
Los Angeles (CA)
I went back to Escape Room LA and played their newest room -- The Atlantis. Like all of their rooms, it's beautiful. It features a variety of different types and levels of puzzles. It's the perfect room for experienced enthusiasts as well as newcomers because there is a lot to do in this room. It's absolutely beautiful!_x000D_

I really like their rooms and for someone who tends to not like public bookings, this company's public booking policy doesn't bother me. For this room, I usually end up playing with a lot of newcomers and they tend to be quite easy going and terrific at working together. It's fun meeting new people and seeing what they come up with and finding solutions together. Because I've played their rooms before, it's easy to navigate and know when the in room game master is providing subtle hints, which are very useful. Watch your in room game master. If she/he is looking at something, it's probably best if a couple of people in your group see what they are looking at because there is an order to solving the puzzles in the different rooms._x000D_

In terms of parking, I've usually found metered parking or I've walked to the venue or even have taken the subway and walked a little bit. The area is not fancy, but what area is in downtown Los Angeles._x000D_

I like Escape Room LA's rooms a lot. I think their set designs are phenomenal and a bar above what many others are doing.

The Alchemist

Went Friday night for my friend's birthday. It was a group of 6 of us. We didn't complete the Alchemist room but it was super fun. I want to do every room now. Great group of people we were paired with also. Good team effort. Fun evening.

We were a group of ten for my friend's birthday and everyone really enjoyed themselves. We did the Alchemist and enjoyed the puzzles and the room setup, staff, and easy parking. It is downtown, but it was fine. Definitely worth the money for the uniqueness, creativity, and knowledgeable staff. Everyone agreed it was worth it for something special.

Did the Alchemist room. It was awesome. I have done escape rooms before and they were cheesy. This was one awesome. I highly recommend it.

The Pyramid
Los Angeles (CA)
My group of 8 loved, loved, loved The Pyramid (which is Mayan, not Egyptian). My first Escape Room and we made it out. Super colorful and multi-sensorial. Staff Guide Theresa was all that to assist if needed. It was so much more stimulating and challenging than I thought it would be. Cool to see friend's skills come out. Can't wait for the next one!

Just did the newest one of the four choices, The Pyramid, and it's really good. Pretty difficult and we didn't quite finish in time to escape, but it's so well planned and interesting that no one really minded. The design is great and even better than the other rooms - just sorry that we were rushing to finish the clues and I didn't get adequate time to admire the workmanship. Highly recommended! (And if you haven't done one of these before, teamwork is a must - sharing things you've figured out with the others in the group. Don't worry, you'll all quickly become friends if you don't have a full group of your own.
