Escape room(s) by The Great Escape Room

It was so much fun! We didn't escape, but the puzzles were really clever and we had a great time! Nothing was too frustrating or annoying, it was all really exciting and enjoyable! Highly recommend for a group of people to try it!

I came here for a friend's birthday and I loved the experience. We did the Gameroom and had someone who worked at the facility in the room with us as we solved the clues. There were 5-6 games we had to solve in order to escape the room. It was laid out pretty clearly but felt on the of clues were not really a clue that helped - it confused us even more. All in all we were able to escape with 6 mins left - so a success nonetheless.

My family of four - son and daughter, husband, and myself - had a great time in the Perfect Crime room! The puzzles were varied and fun to complete. I wish we were in town longer so we could go back and do the other rooms as well! Big hit with our young teens!

It was amazing! We did a team-building event here and it was just great. We had the "Perfect Crime" room and it was really challenging, but we made it of the room in time. The puzzles are fun and diverse and the Game Master was very friendly. Surely an experience to repeat.

Our group did the Perfect Crime room and we had a blast! The theme was very cool and the puzzles were well thought out. The only complaint is how we were given a walkie-talkie to ask questions and hints. We were able to get out, however, we lost time due to the room monitor being busy with another group._x000D_ _x000D_ Bottom line though, I definitely recommend this place and will try to come back next time I'm in DC.

It was a lot of fun! The host for the hunt was the right amount of helpful and efficient. It was definitely a harder challenge but it was also the first escape room I had ever done. I would definitely recommend this to a friend!

Participated in their Sherlock Holmes room last weekend with a large group of friends and it was so much fun! This was my first escape room experience, so I didn't really know what to expect. The room was definitely challenging- and a ton do fun for the whole group! Service was great- the facilitators were super nice and accommodating. Thanks, Great Escape Room!

We did Sherlock's Library and had a really good time! It was actually quite a tough room. We were 10 seconds over the allotted 60 mins. Would definitely come again for another room.

My friend and I stumbled into this place on a Sunday afternoon and did the Escape Artist at the staff's recommendation. It is their newest room and no staff member is inside the room to give you hints. After being assured that "it's creepy, not scary," we were lead into the "Iforgotthename" hotel and truly had a blast. The two of us had done various escape the room games in Boston, New York and Beijing and agree that this is one of our favorite. The puzzles are challenging, fun and interactive and have more tech elements than the typical lock-after-lock setup, which gets boring after a while. As there were only two of us, we didn't successfully escape. But 4 people with some experience or 5-8 escape the room newbies should be able to escape._x000D_ _x000D_ One thing they can improve though is that it can be a little hard to get the hints because the volume of the walkie talkie is really low and unstable, particularly with the music playing in the background. Nonetheless, great design and a lot of fun!

I went to The Great Escape Room today with my family of 5 and was paired with another group of 5 for the Game Room. We all had an excellent experience solving a series of puzzles and eventually escaped! The Game Room was very well put together and fun for everyone.
